Workshop participants share their experiences:

“I am grateful to the facilitators for all they taught us and think all faculty who teach online and hybrid should do this workshop.”

“EVERY instructor should be required to take this course.”

“Great course, I would recommend it. Everything was valuable; the facilitators were available and very helpful.”

“Creating course materials with ADA compliance in mind may seem intimidating at first, but with practice, it becomes second nature. This excellent 2-week, hands-on workshop guides you through this change gradually. Word documents, PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, videos, eCourses and Blackboard are all discussed.  After completing this workshop, you will be comfortable recognizing and creating your own ADA compliant courses.”

The Accessibility & UDL Workshop  has allowed our department to begin strengthening the online content our program is offering. I personally found the Accessibility & UDL Workshop extremely informative. The workshop provided not only the “how” to ensure the online course content is accessible, but experiences of what challenges some students may face when online content is not accessible. The two-week format and small cohort model allowed dynamic discussions and sharing amongst colleagues across multiple universities and disciplines. The experience was quite collegiate and supportive, even when there was a steep learning curve for some of us to incorporate the new technology into our course content. The ability to practice new skills and get feedback from one another was tremendously beneficial.”
